Munatji Brumby is an experienced Tjanpi artist who consistently produces high quality baskets and sculptures. With an eye for detail, her baskets often feature bold designs and are finished with a wipiya (emu feather) trim. Her sculptures, usually colourful depictions of the waterbirds which inhabit the waterholes around her desert home, are wonderful expressions of her artistic energy and character.
Munatji has been weaving baskets since 2006 and making sculptures since 2010. Her baskets are recognisable by their strong, thick coil-work and lovely sense of colour.
