Artist Biography

Loria Jaylene Heffernan is a third generation tjanpi artist and Arts and Culture Assistant. Jaylene is a born story teller and loves to sit with the ladies telling stories and making tjanpi. She stitches tight lovely baskets as she was taught by her mother and grandmother. Jaylene feels happy when she is walking around on country picking up tjanpi and standing under the wide blue sky. Her photographs reflect her passion for the great expanse of the horizon.
