Artist Biography

Nancy has two wonderful tjanpi weavers in her family; Mantua George and Pollyanne Smith. Nancy has been a basket maker for many years, happlily sittling in the afternoon with the women in her family stitching the grasses. Recently Nancy decided to attend a tjanpi workshop and made her first grass sculpture; a little kangaroo. Nancy said it feels good to make tjanpi and she really enjoys her work.
