Roshanna Williamson was born in the Goldfields town of Laverton, Western Australia. She later grew up in South Australia where she learnt fluent Pitjantjatjara, Ngaanyatjarra & English. As a Ngaanyatjarra minyma (woman) Roshanna also has a bush name, which is Yinga. Roshanna now lives in Warakurna with her koori (husband) and young daughter.
Roshanna started Tjanpi 2010, and taught herself by watching other Tjanpi Artists working. Roshanna’s repertoire includes baskets, sculptures, and necklaces and she particularly enjoys making Tji Tji (Children) sculptures and Papa’s (Dogs).
