Glenys is a Pitjantjatjara woman living in the remote community of Kaltukatjara (Docker River) in Northern Territory. She was born in the bush near Areyonga community (Northern Territory) in the 1960’s. Glenys spent her childhood travelling around with her parents from whom she learnt about her Pitjantjatjara culture heritage and language. Glenys later went to school in the community, where she learnt her second language English.

Glenys began weaving in 2011, making a basket & dog sculpture. She has continued to refine her weaving practice and prefers to work with brightly coloured raffia and grass.
