Yuminiya Ken (also know as Yangkuyi) was born in Pukatja, and recalls stories of her family travelling by camel and horse across the lands to Yunyariny (Kenmore Park), Finke and back again.

Yuminiya is a highly-respected senior woman and a long-time Tjanpi artist who works predominantly on baskets. Yuminiya's work is characterised by neat large stitching and often incorporates the use of emu feathers (wipiya).
