We’re thrilled to share that Kungkarangkalpa (Seven Sisters), created by a powerhouse group of Tjanpi women during the COVID years, is now on display at the Potter Museum of Art as part of 65,000 Years: A Short History of Australian Art. This major exhibition, curated by Professor Marcia Langton OM and Judith Ryan, brings together iconic works from First Nations communities across the continent.
Kungkarangkalpa, loaned from the National Museum of Australia's collection, stands proud among giants, celebrating the strength, creativity and deep cultural stories of Anangu and Yarnangu women.
Shining brightly like those Seven Sisters, Dianne Golding, Dorcas Bennett, Nancy Jackson, Nangawarra Ward, Cynthia Burke, Winnifred Reid, Roma Butler, Martha Ward, Polly Jackson, Erica Shorty, Chriselda Farmer, Delilah Shepherd and those artists that have left us.
