At Desert Mob 2026 senior and emerging artists across the Ngaanyatjarra Lands have created sevem abstract experimental sculptures combining found steel mesh with basket coiling techniques. A visit to the community metal yards is a chance to find potential treasures waiting to be turned into something new. These yards are dumping grounds for broken and unwanted building materials and old vehicles – opportunities to be creative with what can be found.
Expect vibrant colour, Yarnangu innovation and the distinctive 'Tjanpi-ness' that makes each year's collection special.

The Desert Mob Marketplace is a large buzzing art market, bringing together paintings, punu, ceramics, weaving, sculpture, textiles and merchandise from Aboriginal-owned art centres across Central Australia.
Tjanpi will be presenting a stall filled with loads of lovely new Tjanpi sculptures, baskets, tees, totes, jewellery and more!
