JamFactory’s 2026 ICON exhibition honours the extraordinary life and legacy of senior Aṉangu artist Tjunkaya Tapaya OAM (1947–2025). Bringing together ceramics, batik, painting and Tjanpi weaving, Nyuyuntja celebrates a lifetime of cultural knowledge, storytelling and making. Featuring works made during the final years of her life, this exhibition pays tribute to Mrs Tapaya’s great contribution to Aṉangu culture and honours her role in carrying stories and knowledge forward for future generations.
